Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Renal is a complete dietetic dry food for adult, mature and senior dogs, formulated to help support kidney function in cases of chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury. Impaired kidneys filter waste from the blood less effectively, and affected dogs tend to drink and urinate more, sometimes with food aversion and digestive upsets.

Key Benefits

• Kidney Function Support: Low phosphorus and a moderate level of high-quality protein help support kidney function in dogs with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury.
• Smaller Meal Volume: An adapted energy content means your dog needs less food per meal, helping to compensate for the reduced appetite seen in some dogs.
• Appetite Stimulation: A specific aromatic profile and a dedicated kibble shape, size and texture help encourage eating, particularly in dogs showing food aversion.
• Supports Quality of Life: Dogs with kidney issues often drink and urinate more and may lose interest in food; this diet is designed to help support their quality of life.
• Veterinary Diet: Part of the Royal Canin Veterinary range for adult, mature and senior dogs. Use under veterinary advice and switch gradually over 7 to 10 days.

This diet combines a low phosphorus content with a moderate amount of high-quality protein to help support renal function and your dog’s quality of life. An adapted energy content lowers the volume of each meal, helping to compensate for a reduced appetite. A specific aromatic profile and a dedicated kibble shape, size and texture help stimulate appetite, especially in dogs showing food aversion. Introduce it gradually over 7 to 10 days. This is a veterinary diet; use it under the advice of your veterinarian.
